School-Based psychiatry is part of University of Missouri Health Care in Columbia, Missouri.  The program provides psychiatric appointments in Boone County Schools for school-aged children who need prompt evaluation and treatment. Children in the program will received an initial psychiatric evaluation with a child psychiatrist, and two to three follow-up appointments at no out-of-pocket cost. Parent(s) or guardians accompany their child to the Bridge appointments. Integrative Behavioral Health Clinic - IBHC offers comprehensive assessments for mental health and other health needs; psychoeducational groups on topics such as substance abuse and coping skills; and clinical services including counseling (for individuals, couples and family), case management and crisis intervention. IBHC also offers the following support groups:
Sustainable Treatment and Goal Exploration Support (STAGES) is a weekly substance abuse treatment program that focuses on supporting individuals’ unique path towards the life they want. This is not a 12-step program and abstinence is not required for membership. Must be 18 or older to attend. Group meets every Thursday 6:00 p.m.-7:30 p.m.
The Grief & Loss Support Group is a free 12-week program. The group meets weekly on Mondays 5:30 p.m.-7:30 p.m. Check back here for 2019 meeting dates.

The Missouri Psychiatric Center offers short-term, intensive inpatient treatment services for adults, adolescents and children at our facility adjacent to University Hospital in Columbia, Mo. The center's 61 inpatient beds are divided among three units. A 17-bed unit serves pre-adolescents, ages 5-12, and adolescents, ages 13-17, two units with a total of 44 beds serve adults. The MU Psychiatric Center also offers an emergency room assessment unit to help with crisis stabilization, intake and discharge planning for patients.

Approximately 15% of all women will experience postpartum depression following the birth of a child. Up to 10% will experience depression or anxiety during pregnancy. Developmental delays, learning disorders, and behavioral and social-­emotional problems are estimated to affect one in every six children. But, less than twenty percent of children are being routinely and universally screened for such delays using evidence-based instruments. This lack of screening leads to delays in identification and treatment. Our clinic offers primary care with referrals to other services as needed, including diagnostics, imagining, dental, vision, orthopedic and psychiatric care.

HOUSING ASSISTANCE: We provide long-term assistance in the form of rent and mortgage payments. Additionally, supportive assistance is provided for utilities, emergency housing, rental and utilities deposits, referrals and coordination with case management services.

Services: Anger Management Learn to handle anger effectively and use it in a productive manner. Trainings and education can be scheduled to fit your specific needs, including workplace safety. Separate curriculum is available for youth. 12 week course as required by the state of Missouri for offenders, with lessons provided by Tasca Tolson, a certified anger management specialist (CAMS II).
Batterers’ Intervention Program (BIP) is a program that batterers attend, usually as part of the legal system response to an act of domestic violence. A batterer may also attend a program voluntarily. A BIP can play an important role in a coordinated community response to domestic violence, but it is important that victim safety and offender accountability remain the primary goals of a BIP. Other goals may include education and awareness of the belief system that allows battering to occur.

True North serves those who are fleeing or would like to flee abusive domestic or sexual violence situations. Victims of domestic violence include those who are being abused either, physically, verbally, emotionally and/or psychologically by an intimate partner. Sexual violence victims include those who have been a victim of rape, sexual assault/harassment, human trafficking or stalking. We have a 24/7 hotline that you can call and an emergency shelter. We also provide orders of protection, case management, crisis intervention, counseling, support groups, domestic violence/sexual assault education, court and hospital advocacy, children’s services and outreach to any victim regardless of whether they are residing in our shelter or not.
Fee: All services of FREE and confidential for victims and their minor children
Eligibility: Must be experiencing domestic or sexual violence and wanting a safe way out of or a safer way to stay in the relationship.
